NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY Young Membership Campaign Proposal

The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY is a coalition of non-governmental organizations working in partnership with UN agencies and governments to advance the status of women worldwide. The Committee was founded after the first UN World Conference on Women in 1975. Twenty years later, the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing was a key milestone for women’s advocacy at the UN. On the eve of the 15 year anniversary of the Beijing Conference, the NGO CSW/NY is initiating a Young Professionals Membership program to connect younger generations with an interest in women’s rights and international policy advocacy to the work of the Committee at the UN. This endeavor gives young professionals the opportunity to work in partnership with experienced Committee members in advancing women’s rights around the world.
